Task : Hold an online conference with another Cub Scout and tell them about your pack; play a game with him/her
During the North area year end camp, I met scouts from the North area. To my surprise, I met a classmate from religious class who is from Woodlands Ring Primary School. We exchanged email addresses and reconnected after the camp. I was happy to know he is a fellow scout and from the North area.
I shared with him in a zoom session about my scout pack. We also played scouting scavenger hunt online where we each call out a certain item that we need to find in our house. For example, when it was my turn, I asked for something that would help us on a hike in Upper Thomson Nature Reserve, something we would need on a camping trip to Pulau Ubin, Our proudest possession while he asked for a family photo, a healthy snack, an item for a first aid kit. We had lots of fun and lots of laughter. It was great to make new friends as a scout makes friends.
It would be great if we could meet in person during North area camps. I hope it would not be too late as we are both graduating soon.
I learn that as a Scout we should make friends wherever we go to widen our social circle. I would love to know more friends in person and in the virtual world.
