Gold Arrow - Helping Others -Water Safety

Updated: Jan 26, 2022

Task 1: Explain at least 1 method of helping someone who has fallen into swimming pool or canal.

When we notice someone has fallen into the swimming pool, look around the surrounding area if there is a lifesaving device like a lifebuoy, rope, towel, float or pool noodle and throw it towards the person. Shout and signal to alert a lifeguard or an adult. Call 995 for help.

Task 2: Make a list or infographic of at least 3 safety rules when swimming in the sea

This us a list which I created using Microsoft Word

The waves or sea current in Singapore is not as strong as such I was surprised when I was once thrown off my footing from the waves at Surfers Paradise when I was just walking by the seashore. Do watch the waves, be safe and follow the safety rules above when you swim in the sea. I had previously not understood what the flags on the beach mean. Now I know they are safety flags to either inform the swimmers if there is no swimming allowed in the area or the boundaries of the swim zone.

Enjoy the Sun, Sand and Sea but keep yourself and your family and friends safe.
