Gold Arrow - Science & Nature - Technical Equipment

Task : Draw and label the parts of a computer, video camera or any type of technical equipment and show that you know how to work its main feature.

I learnt about external parts (peripheral components) of a desktop/home computer. A desktop computer has 5 parts, a Monitor, a Central Processing Unit also known as the CPU, a Mouse and a keyboard. There are also additional parts such as, a modem (for your WiFi) a printer and speakers (if not built in the monitor).

As shown in the picture, the uses of the equipment listed below.

Main Parts:

  1. Monitor - A output device that displays information in a pictorial or text form

  2. Central Processing Unit (CPU) / Computer Tower - The device that provides the instructions and processing power that the computer needs to do work

  3. Mouse - A small movable device that lets you control a range of things on your monitor

  4. Keyboard - A device for putting in information in letters, numbers or symbols into the computer

Additional Parts:

  1. Printer - A electronic device that accepts text files/images from the computer and prints the files/images in hard copy (paper form).

  2. Modem - A small device that brings the Internet to the computer
