Gold Arrow - Outdoor Scouting - Camp Craft

Updated: Feb 2, 2022

Task 1: Design and draw at least 3 camp gadgets that could be used in camp

Since I had no homework today, I chose to complete the activity for camp craft. I have drawn 3 camp gadgets. I drew a dustbin, plate/bowl drying rack and a cupholder using the sketchbook application on my iPad.

The dustbin that can be made with three sticks, about 120cm long and sharpen one end of each. Hammer them into the ground deep enough to stand firm, spaced about 45cm apart forming an equilateral triangle. Next place the edges of a plastic trash bag over the ends of the sticks. Finally, secure the bag in place with a piece of cord using three Open-End Clove Hitches.

The plate/bowl drying rack can be easily made with sticks that you can find around the campsite.

The cupholder can be made with a suitably forked stick on site. Cut of twiggy edges. Make a hole in the ground with a tent peg. Then, insert the branch. Position with care.

This is a drawing of the camp craft.

These are easy to craft but functional at the same time.
